We are experienced trial attorneys who confidently represent our clients inside and outside of the court room. Headquartered in Gainesville, Florida we represent clients throughout North Central Florida, taking cases within the Eighth Judicial Circuit and beyond. The Eighth Circuit includes the counties of Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Gilchrist, Levy and Union, and spans Florida’s peninsula from the Gulf Coast to the Georgia border. We are also experienced in representing clients in Putnam, Marion, Citrus, Suwannee, Dixie, and Columbia Counties, and elsewhere throughout the State of Florida.

MEET MICHAEL HINES
Since graduating cum laude from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law in 2005, Michael Hines has worked exclusively in the practice of criminal defense, defending clients charged in both State and Federal courts. Michael has represented individuals accused of Murder, Armed Robbery, Racketeering, Burglary, Sexual Battery, Lewd and Lascivious Offenses, Weapons Offenses, Drug Offenses, and Driving Under the Influence (DUI), among others. He has represented clients in Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Citrus, Clay, Columbia, Gilchrist, Levy, Marion, Putnam, St. John’s, and Union counties. Michael has also taught trial practice to students at the University of Florida Levin College of Law as an adjunct professor and has taught trial technique to prosecutors and public defenders at the Gerald T. Bennet Prosecutor and Public Defender Trial Training Program hosted by the College of Law.
Michael is past president of the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association and a former board member of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association. Michael is also a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He and his wife Stephanie—a former prosecutor—are longtime residents of Gainesville and enjoy spending time with their children, Isabel and Colin, and their rat terrier, Gator.
